Turbo Sloth
What can you say about a comic that bills itself as “XKCD for stupid people”?
That is exactly what the advertisement said when I first saw a link to Turbo Sloth. I like XKCD, so I figured that this was at least worth checking out. All I have to say: Ug. If it wasn’t for this blog, I wouldn’t have read the last third of the comic, or still have a tab open to it as I write this post.
There is the occasional gem that makes me chuckle for a second or two, but it seems to be one out of a hundred at best. Honestly, thats the only good thing I can think to say about this comic.
The one way in which this comic is like XKCD: Low level graphics. I almost think it would be better if the artist dropped all the color, if only to make the scenes less distracting andĀ jarring. Its obvious that these comics were done in MS paint, or some cheap software like it from the bad effects.
Honestly, this blog post is more of a warning than anything else. Don’t bother reading this comic.
