It’s Brickout…….. IN SPAAAACCCEEEEE.

In this game you play a prisoner who is trying to work off his debt to society by working for a mining company. You travel around space in a mining envelope (read as “paddle”) breaking up asteroids and mineral clusters (read as bricks and oddly colored bricks). By collecting minerals and completing missions you can upgrade your envelope and hopefully earn your freedom.

This game is fun for both old school Brickout players and people new to the type of game. With a massive number of different board layouts and dozens of powerups, its hard to grow bored with this game. The missons are interesting enough to be worth doing, and you can explore planets to unlock more upgrades.

There are two main issues I have w/ this game: Amount of play and level difficulty. Unless you spend real life cash or all of your in-game cash buying more hydrogen capsules (which you need to play a game) you can only play 3 boards per day. This combined with a difficulty that ramps up fairly quickly have had me wasting days just trying to beat one board.

Overall, if you have good skills at Brickout style games, this is fairly fun and has an interesting spin to the story. If you don’t have very good skills, I would suggest practicing elsewhere before starting this site, or you’ll waste A LOT of time.

Overall Rating: (3 stars)
